Advice on Charge TM

I have now 6 charge TM's saved but I always try to have at least 2/3 stored in case I need to use them in the near future (for example a surprise release of Ho-oh or Mewtwo, or the incoming Zapdos).

I have all the mon I want already with my ideal moveset that I can think about except from those two.

Lapras 89%IV, 2356CP, IS/B
Moltres 93%IV 1853CP, FS/FB

The question is, would you use any of my TM in order to try to get IB for Lapras and OH on Moltres? Which one would you TM first? Or would you wait for another potential Moltres for example and TM Lapras only?

Any advice is welcome, my only fear is that I maybe need a lot of tries in order to get what I want despite I have had luck on the past.

IB is great on Lapras but mostly because it is a dual Off/def move. With defense what it is now I would not risk getting HP and losing an attacker for the chance.

You are just right IMO that you should let the end of the Moltres availability play out (I am doing the same right now and it is painful lol) but then more chances won't be available until who knows when. If you want to take a couple shots that is up to you. Other mons you at least have a chance to catch/raid/evo for better movesets. We aren't sure what the availability of these legendaries will be post event.

Edit to add: I know it is hard to wait, I struggle with such impatience in the face of mons I really like and want to power/TM too. The very best course would be to wait until Zapados makes his run too and after that see where you are. Maybe you get 2-3 super incredible Zaps who need the same resources and are more immediately useful due to the meta?

Yeah, you know exactly how I feel, waiting is really difficult :P. I have had luck in the past with TM's so already have multiple copies of the top tier mon with perfect moveset without using many tries. Even I have some other mon not used as much with the best moves, like Muk, Slowbro, Charizard, Scizor...

So it only comes down to those two, I understand your point and your advice is very valuable indeed. I will wait at least until Zapdos goes away, I thought that having 6 tm's were enough to take the risk at least on Lapras to get IB. But I have seen other mates struggling to get what they want again and again and I have fear that might be the case...Just yesterday a friend of mine took 11 tries to get Future Sight on his Alakazam...If this happens to me I would become mad...

Yeah I have made a few regretful moves like this I would take back even though I understood what I was doing was stupid.

My biggest reasoning is that TMs and rare candy seem to be very common (at least for me) with T5 raids. I think by the end of Zapados I will have built up a war chest where such moves are less risky and I will feel better about them. After Zapados ends me and you can compare our resources and potential moves and see what we think. If I am granted the willpower to follow my own advice lmaoo

hahha would be interesting if you fail to follow your own advice and I follow it for sure xD.

And yes it is true that legendaries are giving more tm's in general, but maybe once they are off the table we gonna find them harder than ever to get. I have even get 2 fast and 2 charge tm's on a lugia today lol
