I'm always short of Charge Move TMs, and to make matters worse, I think i was using them wrong, by trying to fix a pokemon with a single TM at a time.

e.g. Trying to get Draco Meteor for a Salamence with Fire Blast, I end up getting Hidro Pump. I get another TM in the next day, and try once more: get F.B. again.

So today I was mannaging an abandoned account of my brother, and fixed the moves of 2 pokemons, getting the desired move in the second attempt. The difference here, is that I had multiple TMs and used them in sequence, without leaving the TM menu.

Can someone confirm this? That using two TMS in sequence prevents me from getting back the movement I wanted to discard?

(I hope I made my question clear, Im not a english native speaker.)

No it doesn't. It's all just random.

Having more than 1 TM just allows you to stay in the TM screen so players can TM multiple pokemon at once.

Good luck though! I used around 6 TMs trying to get Shadow Ball on my Gengar. You'll get it eventually.

Thank you for clarify this, milkz. I presume I only had luck this time.

Another strategy now is that if you have dust and candy but are lacking TMs, buy a second move. Then, if you don't get what you want (that is to say, the move you don't have is the one you want), you can pick which one to dump and get the one you want with a single TM. Plus you get to keep the second move. Very handy, with a little advanced planning.

Like stated, it's random. But you should prioritize your CTM usage and fix pokemon with low chance of failure first. Hunting for DM on Salamence with only a single CTM to use is risky when there are many pokemon out there that get a fine moveset with at most one CTM used.
