7km eggs event

I stocked 5 7km eggs by the end of event with regional exclusives in them. Is there a chance to hatch regionals after event ends?
Hatched pichu with hat after event ended before. Or there is new mechanic for eggs?

Yes. The result of egg is determined by the time you get it instead of hatch it.

Some how I doubt it, last event, I took home 9 eggs from Hawaii thinking I will watch them after the event, they all hatched non event Pokemons. I might be wrong though.

It's RNG by all means. Sadly there's no guarantee.
