449 CP dragonite

So I caught a wild dragonite with DB/DC. But it's only 449CP and 57% IV.

I had already evolved a dragonite 1800CP before at 91% IV but got SW/DC.

Also caught another wild one 2000CP SW/DP <50% IV.

Do I even bother powering up the 449 CP? I really want an attacker.

Note that dratini candies are hard to come by for me.

No. Not if the candy is hard to come by. It would take like 50 power ups to get it 2500+. That's a ton of dust and candy. Enough to evolve a whole new one with a 50 percent chance of a fighting moveset and much cheaper dust cost.

I ever had 82%iv snorlax with 40 cp once but now it becomes a candy. So I won't hesitate to candify this Dragonite if I were you.

No he should keep it to train his gyms.
When somebody puts a noob pokemon CP 1000 he might need his baby dragonite ^^

Unless you are tight on space, just hold onto it. Later when you have extra stardust and candy, you might consider powering up to about 1000cp to use for training.

Turn it to candy. Dragonites are horrible for training because they have really only one advantage which is high CP. This is exactly why they are horrible at low CP plus they have no type advantage. Better off using the opposite type of mon low CP high level with type advantage for training like Pidgeot, Parasect, Golem and Wigglys.
