4 questions regarding blissey

Can anyone think of a reason to use blissey in a gym raid?

The only reason I can think of is to use it in a battle with an overkill number of players, with the goal of soaking up the damage to minimize the amount of potions needed to be spent afterwards.

What are the movesets to have with Blissey? I'm assuming ZH/DG for
Defense and P/HB for attacking and raids? I currently have two nearly maxed blisseys, 200+ candies, and a lucious chansey on deck. With the new gym system where it requires less time and resources to wipe a gym clean (compared to a lv10 gym) and with the limit of one species/gym, would there be reason to obtain more blisseys? For defense, of course. I'm contemplating switching my walking buddy! What movesets would you make the aforementiond blisseys?
Currently I have:

- P/DG (was P/P this morning)
- P/HB
- ZH/HB (am thinking about making this ZH/DG)
I like the idea of having P/DG as a mixed role of both a defender and an attacker (albeit not as effective as either role compared to the ideal respective movesets)

I ask these questions because I want to make the most use of my chansey candy mountain (chaarrrllliiiee). With this new gym system, I'm beginning to think that defenders are not as important as they were prior to this update

After the new gym system came out, I leveled up a p/hb blissey. It is actually my highest IV blissey. In gym raids she works well on mop up. I queue my high damage output mons in front of her and, if they all feint, I'm still in the battle when, it concludes.

When attacking gyms, she works really well on clean up after the first round, where I use specialists to take out the tougher mon. On the first round she is also efficient at clearing out the odd bits of diversity people leave in gyms.

The problem with blissey as an attacker is she is slow. Dg might work. I'm pretty sure psychic is too weak.

In a raid: If all 6 of your mons faint, you can just go get 6 more and rejoin the battle. In light of this, we should always use the best attackers, regardless of bulk.

Blissey is the best survivalist for casual and new players to participate and win **** Raids with their friends. Great way to be able to catch high IV mons for new players imo.

At the moment I can't give you a good reason to even have a Blissey. My caterpie can hold a gym.

Especially with decaying cp, I just don't see her as a defensive threat like she used to be and therefore I don't see reason to continue gathering candies. :/

How about on offense/raids?

I can dangerously close to timing out for the first time on weeks, maybe months, today.

I said to myself. Gyms are too easy now. Ill just use the preset team. I glanced it over looked sound. Turns out Niantic suggested I use mons of the same species of my main line up, but not the highest leveled ones

Shady! But I took her down with a quick switch. A similar thing happened to me with a Rhydon, only he actually KO'd my last mon. I was disappointed to see his motivation drop 46 points. If a defender sweeps an attacker that should fully restore its motivation.

I used a Blissey before to attack in a raid...Reason is because phone/raids are lagging crazily when selecting my team so the auto select seems to love my Blisseys no matter the raid boss.

I too have noticed that blissey tends to be suggested. I figure her role is a damage sponge in raids where there are so many people that it's guaranteed to have the boss drop
