2nd Dragonite to max

I have one maxed Dragonite with DT/Outrage, three other at lv30 but also a surplus of Dratini candy just crying to be used. I consider maxing out another dragon but which one? Candidates are:
1. 93 IV (3044) with Dragon Tail/Hurricane (can be TM-ed out)
2. 73 IV (2958) with legacy Dragon Breath/Outrage
3. 58 IV (2905) SHINY with Dragon Tail/Dragon Meteor

My main theme for the game is collecting lvl 40 Pokemon. I do have 3 Dragonites at lvl 40. One with Outrage/Hurricane and Draco Meter. This satisfies my collection purposes, however I did swich Hurricane to Outrage to 3 man Rayquaza. Wish ya had a beter IV Draco Meter :*( So I would absolutly do the 93IV one.

You think his is bad, my shiny DM Dragonite is a lowly 25% IV with a pitiful 1 attack IV. That's what I get for finding my last shiny within 3 minutes of event's end and deciding that would be the one to evolve because its CP was the highest of the shinies.

I was lucky enough to get a natural level 35 shiny, with decent but not spectacular IVs. However, I feel your pain for a different reason: The only wild Dragonite I've seen/caught is 1/15/15...

I mean if you lack a good Salamence give the shiny one a go, DM can be decent if it's used right before fainting and this will give some neat variety to your top mons (it'll probably be in your top 12 since Dragonite gets such a high max CP)

Otherwise TM #1 to Outrage and go for #1. DB/O is cool but is easily outdone by the latis, and the speed doesn't really work with such a slow and late-window Charged Move like Outrage. I personally am not a fan of an army of maxed Dragonites since you usually don't need a full team of awesome generalists and though they are among the best Dragon-type DPS (and thus good for a lot of future legendaries), this also means that they face a lot of competition from 'mons like Salamence, Rayquaza, Latios, and more to come. I prefer to max out one of each and from there have my Dragon army. That being said, if you have tons of community-day candy and a lot of stardust it's definitely a great investment - i personally would do the shiny but that's just because i like diversity in my lineup.

Shinies are always fun if nothing else. I've powered up shiny versions of things over non-shinies even if the non-shiny has a slight IV advantage.
