10K Eggs - Wait Until Event to Hatch?

As far as known it's determined when you get the egg, not when it hatches

Contents set at the time you pick them up. Potentially there could be bonus stardust/candies awarded in a Christmas event but personally I'd hatch them now.

I have 2 too, but I'm quite impatient...I think I'll wait until monday. (Not until Christmas though).

they are set at the moment you pick them up but maybe will be a x2 candies or star dust event or less distance to walk with eggs and buddie so if i were you i wait.

I am waiting on 8 of them so for sure I would wait at least until Monday to make sure if the Christmas event is coming and if there is a 2x candy or 2x dust on them, the mons are determined when you pick them so there will be no difference on the hatches, but if one of them is a top tiper mon (Dratini, Lapras or Snorlax) the difference on 2x candies makes the waiting worth ;)

Shit. I just realized it will be impossible to hatch what you want out of eggs when gen2 comes. Those odds will be awful.

Double candy event only applied to eggs received after start of event. I think its extremely unlikely they have a double candy event right after releasing gen 2 anyways. You can fact check with any of the youtube pogo guys. I think Nick, BenT and Reversal all had 10 k eggs prior to thanksgiving event start.
