surely the rate must be better than 1 in 1534 caught was a B/HP, also only have 1 @ 98 % DT/HP , 2 @ 96% DT/C & B/O All evolved and powered up....I need something to spend my 2000+ candies on

I hatched mine, and then I caught another which bombed and gave me BxTw. I sent him on a first class transfer. Go for it!

Each stat has a value between 0 and 15. If each stat is assigned at random individually, changes for a wild 15/15/15 is 1/16^3 = 1/4096. Getting 100 % from an egg is significantly greater as you can't get crappy IV's form there.

My understanding is that the odds of getting a perfect IV from an egg are (1/6)^3 = 1/216.

I'm saving my 3600+ Magikarp candies for Mega Evolutions if that ever comes and uses just candy, but much, much more.

You mean you are saving for 2.5 years in the future (assuming each gen comes out after six months and assuming mega evolutions are both lasting and candy-based)?
