100 IV pokemons

I have some 100 IV pokemons that can be evolved but I don't know if I should make it or wait for a CD.
I have the bad experience with a 100 IV charizard and a Swampert that I evolved before that Niantic anounced the Comunity days, Now my perfect Charizard is not as good that the ones that I get from the CD.

The pokemos are:
Rhydon
Magmar
Porygon 2
Togetic

I dont think any if these are really good candidates for a CD mainly because of the sinnoh stone requirement. If you have a need for any of these, be it master league or personal raid goals, i say go for it

Rule #2 of Pokemon Go
Don't evolve anything unless you immediately need it

No one but you will know they are perfect so it is pretty pointless if all you want is to fill your Dex (which is just a vanity compromise).

Some will point out that they are unlikely candidates for CDs but, while that might be true, it is far from the only way in which they could get better exclusive moves in the future (case in point: Breloom and Gengar). So take nothing for granted.

Out of those, only Rhyperior seems like a safe option but you would have made better use of it during Heatran raids...

Well, nobody knows what Niantic will decide to do. They might do something they've never done before, throwing all our carefully crafted speculations in the trash.

So using your 100% is still a gamble, regardless of the species.

That being said, it could be argued that Rhydon, Magmar and Porygon 2 are safe options. Community Days on Pokemon that require an item to evolve seem extremely unlikely.

Togetic, while not requiring an item and already having its shiny form, seem a bit less safe, simply because the long awaited Fairy Wind move has not been released. A lot of people speculate that Togepi will be the focus of a Community Day, with the Fairy fast move as the evolution bonus.

Hope that helps.

I would say that Rhydon is somewhat safe pick for evolving, because there's not much better moves than what Rhyperior already can learn (maybe only 2-bar ground moves). As it cannot learn Rock Slide, Stone Edge is going to be its best move when paired with Smack Down. With Magmar and Togetic I would definitely wait. Fire Punch is a bad move and there are a lot usable fire attackers, so it's not like you're going to need Magmortar any time soon. Also as Togekiss is one of the only fairy-types that can learn Fairy Wind, I would wait for its release as it could be the only fairy-type fast move ever released in PoGO. Porygon-Z is not that usable, but through Hidden Power it could have some fun uses, if it ever gets a 2-bar move. Until then it is mostly useless, even as a fill-in. But when it comes to Niantic, nobody knows what they're going to give and when, so in the end you should choose wisely and know the risks.

The thing about all of these is that they require an evolution item, though after the Breloom announcement I don't think we can really rule anything out from receiving an exclusive move. I guess in general here's the worst that could happen:

Rhydon/Rhyperior:
Drill Run would make Rhyperior effectively equivalent to Groudon right now, which itself is susceptible to becoming OP if it gets Precipice Blades. It also has a signature attack Rock Wrecker in the main series which could make it a rock type king. Either way, it having two roles means any that didn't get the exclusive move would be safe to switch to the other type.

Magmar/Magmortar:
Overheat would make it better than BB Charizard but not better than Moltres. BB Blaziken will still be better anyway.

Porygon2/Porygon-Z:
I'm having a hard time seeing this thing get any attack that would trivialize any already evolved ones. Normal in general is a lackluster attacking type since it loses out to specialized counters.

Togetic/Togekiss:
While it's disappointing that it didn't bring about a fairy-type fast attack it doesn't exactly need one thanks to Air Slash. Sky Attack would make it the best non-legendary flying-type attacker.

tl;dr Rhyperior and Togekiss could gain a lot from an exclusive move. I wouldn't worry about Magmortar and Porygon-Z.

Ending notes: FOMO sucks, no one is denying that. It's pretty apparent Niantic will continue to drive the game off of it. At this point there's so much of it it doesn't bother to get too worked up over it. Something exclusive now will be outclassed by something exclusive later.

I've had a lot of use already out of the 100% and 98% Rhyperion (one Rock, one Ground). Yes they could get outclassed by a new moveset, but at worst I think they'll still be decent at their roles. If I've got a current use for something I'd rather evolve now and enjoy using it. Pokemon is never going to stay still, and if in future I hve to make do with only a 90% Pokemon with a new move it's hardly the end of the world :-)

Rhyperior does learn two moves that aren't in the game yet: Rock Wrecker (its signature move) and Earth Power, so there is some speculation that it could be a community day candidate down the road. I've evolved my best ones for use during Heatran, though, because it's probably not going to get both signature moves - if it gets the rock move I'll keep my current ones as ground attackers, if it gets the ground move I'll TM my current to rock attackers when I need them.

I get the desire to complete dex or evolve before candy gets stale but unless you need these now for some reason I would wait. But it is your game and your choice. You have been burned. Why take the risk if there is no reward?
