It's not really useless. Offensive Dragonites have very little difference with each other as long as they have Dragon Breath. Dragon Claw is less than 3% stronger than Dragon Pulse is. However, powering this up would take a lot of dust and candy. How easy it is for you to farm Dratinis?

Thanks for replying. Usually 2-3 dratini each day. How much stardust do u think I need to powerup this dragonite to 2000cp?

Exactly 32,000 dust I believe. I'll have to recheck when I don't need to calculate in my head. What trainer level are you? That is a lot of Dratini at least for me. I'm level 28 and only getting my first Dragonite in the near future. What is your second best IV Dratini?

On general however, IV's matter a lot less than moveset. If you can farm lots of candy, you probably want maybe one with offensive and one with defensive moveset. Theoretically you should save all dust until you are level 30 if you want to play most effectively, so no dust will go to waste if you later find a more powerful same Pokémon. (Wild Pokémon cap at level 30)
