Global players are reporting that this week's Spotlight Hour will heavily feature the Generation 3 Psychic Type Pokemon Spoink. Apparently this is going to become a recurring event!

Spoink will appear more in the wild during the event hour. If you're lucky, you might encounter a shiny Spoink.

Spoink evolves into the pure Psychic Type Grumpig, which thus far hasn't made much of an impact on any branch of Pokemon Go. Overall, this event seems to only be useful if you need these dex entries or if you want to hunt its shiny forme.
