Okay, things are definitely starting to get interesting!
Go Tour: Sinnoh is already well on its way, and it's already shaping up to rival last year in terms of what it has to offer. Why is that, exactly? Because we're getting the access to the unique formes of the dragons of Space and Time that were introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus; Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia
In conjunction with these two Pokemon, they're also being given access to their unique Signature Moves: Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, respectively. Not only do these moves give this duo a lot more power, but it seems that Niantic is elevating Dialga and Palkia in a new way as well, as they both also bring brand new effects to the game at will.
Origin Formes and Their Field Effects
In conjunction with their basic utility, Origin Forme Palkia and Dialga both have unique gameplay effects that can be called on at will to change the way that Pokemon Go is played to a certain extent. At the cost of 5 of their Candy and 5,000 Stardust, players can call upon the powers of their reality-altering dragons for the following effects:
- Origin Forme Dialga will be able to pause the timer on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces for 6 minutes
- Origin Forme Palkia will be able to increase the encounter-range of Pokemon on the map for 10 minutes
Players will be able to extend these effects for up to 24 hours by spending more Candy and Stardust, potentially increasing their value greatly. Needless to say, Origin Forme Dialga's effect pulls ahead in terms of its sheer power, but Origin Forme Palkia's effect has the advantage of being potentially very useful for times when moving around isn't an option, for for more effective passive play using a Pokemon Go Plus or similar device.
Note that these effects cannot co-exist, and only Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia that have access to Roar of Time and Spacial Rend respectively will be able to activate them in the first place.

Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia have been discovered in Pokémon GO, and Trainers can encounter them for the first time during space-time anomalies at Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh! The arrival of these Legendary Pokémon across time and space to Pokémon GO have introduced a new phenomenon: Adventure Effects!
Adventure Effects are temporary bonuses to help you on your Pokémon GO adventure, activated by powerful Pokémon attacks that may be used outside of battle. Adventure Effects have been reported to occur when Origin Forme Dialga uses Roar of Time, and when Origin Forme Palkia uses Spacial Rend.
With these latest revelations, who knows what Adventure Effects may be discovered in the future…
Pokémon debuts
Origin Forme Dialga, the Temporal Pokémon, and Origin Forme Palkia, the Spatial Pokémon, will make their Pokémon GO debut in five-star raids during space-time anomalies at Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh!
Trainers without an active Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles ticket or Citywide Gameplay add-on can participate in Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia Raids, but they won’t be able to encounter a Shiny one or one that knows its signature attack until Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global.

Adventure Effect: Roar of Time
Trainers who encounter and defeat Origin Forme Dialga in a Raid Battle have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Roar of Time.*
Trainers can activate the Adventure Effect associated with Roar of Time by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy, distorting time for 6 minutes and pausing the timer of the following items: Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces.
You can extend the timer for Roar of Time’s Adventure Effect in increments of 6 minutes by using more Stardust and Dialga Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time you tap Use, and you can tap Use again to add additional time—up to 24 hours total!
Once Roar of Time ends, the timer on any active items will continue to count down. Roar of Time cannot be active at the same time as any other Adventure Effect.
*At this time, Origin Forme Dialga will be unable to learn Roar of Time via any TM.
Adventure Effect: Spacial Rend
Trainers who encounter and defeat Origin Forme Palkia in a Raid Battle have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Spacial Rend.*
Trainers can activate the Adventure Effect associated with Spacial Rend by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy, distorting space for 10 minutes and allowing for encounters with wild Pokémon at an increased distance.
You can extend the timer for Spacial Rend’s Adventure Effect in increments of 10 minutes by using more Stardust and Palkia Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time you tap Use, and you can tap Use again to add additional time—up to 24 hours total!
Once Spacial Rend ends, Trainers will only encounter wild Pokémon within normal distance limits. Spacial Rend cannot be active at the same time as any other Adventure Effect.
*At this time, Origin Forme Palkia will be unable to learn Spacial Rend via any TM.
Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh
Encounter Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in five-star raids during space-time anomalies, beginning with Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh.
Trainers participating in Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global will have a chance at encountering these Pokémon with their signature attacks—the version of the event you choose will affect your chances!
Trainers who choose the Diamond Version will encounter an Origin Forme Dialga that knows Roar of Time.
Trainers who choose the Pearl Version will encounter an Origin Forme Palkia that knows Spacial Rend.
