The Research Breakthrough for November-December has been announced. For this rotation, players will have a chance to catch Kyogre, Groudon, Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres on breakthrough
The Legendary Pokemon encountered will be random, and all of these Pokemon already have their shiny formes released, meaning that it's almost guaranteed that they will be available for this event.

Field Research Updates
- From November 1, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to January 1, 2020, at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8), the following Pokémon will be available as Research Breakthrough encounters: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Kyogre, Groudon!
