Max out Espeon?

I can't believe I'm asking this but do you guys have any idea if Espeon is worth powering up? I recently walked 10 kms. (yes, I know about the name trick and I have no plans of using it for now) Got the best defending moveset according to GamePress. Haven't really faced an Espeon with this moveset so I cannot say if it will be a nuisance to potions as well. (I'm aware of Snorlax, Blissey annoyance so please don't compare her to them)

I definitely would max it out, if the IVs are 90+ with high Atk for gym placement. Personally I'm so tired of the same old mons in the gyms and Espeon is strong enough to be a defender, that you have to take a bit more serious. Its not gonna be like a wall or exceptionally strong, but its decent

Before you invest in it, you can put it ina gym and test fighting against it with similarly sized CP pokemon.

Yes, it's definitely a good defender. Even though it's a glass cannon it doesn't have a double weakness to abuse that many other defenders have.

It's massive ATT coupled with confusion(already a great move) and a multi bar charge move also with stab makes it quite a damage dealer. Also it doesn't hurt that the candy is easy to come by.

Espeon is good, but just like a higher CP Lapras, it hits everything hard except for Dark. Still lower than Vaporeon, and at level 39, having a max CP of less than 3000.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm pretty bored with gym diversity so I'm really looking forward for another strong yet new defender. Yes, Espeon is a glass cannon but as long as I deal good damage and waste other people's potions, I'm good. Espeon is good but obviously there are some mons better than her, I powered it up to lvl 30 then stop.

Based on Power, which I think represents damage dealt before fainting, Espeon is on an honorable possition, 8th.
Based on time took by attacker it drops a lot.

I did it myself. Espeon 95.6% IV with C/Pbeam. I said, why not? I put it over 2700 and run out of stardust (powered up quite a few since Gen2 released).
I still don't know how good it performs in gyms but I'm going to use I either way. Justs for the craic!

I don't think it's very strong as a defender...The HP is just too low and when I used an Arcanine with Fireblast on one, that attack took half it's HP and Espeon was wiped out before I could fire off another Fireblast.

Felt like Gyarados after a Jolteon Thunder attack...

Very few potions used so I'd save them for attacking instead.
