just another sub par event they have going on at the moment.

What a fucking stupid event... Not even double exp, increased pikachu spawnrates or stardust. .... And pikachus are so rare here in berlin you wont find any........ffs niantic!

I think you may find that Niantic didn't decide to do an event...but in fact it was 'The Pokemon Company' enforcing a celebration of the birthday of the franchise.

We have just had an event, followed by Gen2 release...I don't think Niantic really wanted a massive event right now...but licensing is licensing.
