So I have a 96% Gengar with Shadow Claw (legacy) & Shadow Ball. As Shadow Ball just got buffed, did this guy just become really, really good? Unfortunately it's level 9 but I haven't much to spend my dust on at the moment so I might invest a little.

On a similar note, did Confusion & Seed Bomb become Eggy's best defensive moveset? I have a lvl 30 one and a lvl 20 one. I really want an attacking Eggy but I might hold off and power up my second defensive one.

I personally prefer Sludge Bomb, because Snorlax and Blissey both resist ghost type moves. But yeah. Shadow Claw Gengar is a beast now

I use my 1,1k Gengar with 98% and your set to push against pretty much everything, that doesn't resist ghost. It tears through Vapes, but you cant allow yourself to miss a dodge. Still, I absolutely love it and if I would have the dust for it, I would probably power him up to 30. Its definitely one of the best attackers now.

I would power it up. My SC/SB gengar at lvl 30 can take out 2-3 3k Dragonites. You need to dodge everything though

I have a similar question:
93% IV Gengar with Shadow Claw/Sludge Bomb but only around 600CP, worth powering up?
It looks like mine is a slightly weaker version in all aspects.

I brought up a 93% shadow Claw / Sludge bomb to about 2k CP and he's awesome.

I like my attackers to have same type attacks. SC/SB is very cool and majorly buffed. Still, I find the uses limited.

Thanks all. I'll wait and see what Gamepress' findings are. Do we think Shadow Claw is/was better than Hex? I haven't used Hex in battle.
