Charizard, current meta value

I have a 91% Charmander but already have a 89% Charizard so no need to evolve for pokedex. According to this site ALL of Charizard's moves are now legacy moves. Is this mon still work evolving for dueling purposes or is it a worthless mon outside of collecting?

Unfortunately, not really.
Flareon with Overheat (especially FS+O) is just so good that it even makes it into the top 10 raw DPS users. So Charizard should not fit best as a Fire attacker. What leaves Charizard a chance to win back is his double resistance to Grass, which makes him a better counter to Grass types.
As far as a Flying specialist is concerned, his Flying moves lie only in the quick moves. Before gen2, his spamming Wing Attack is the best Flying attacker. But now Dragonite can learn Hurricane this honor is taken away.
I do find one matchup where he shines - attacking a Heracross, who is double-weak to Flying and weak to Fire. However, the fact that Heracross being a regional makes Charizard outside the region much less useful.
I powered my Wing Attack + Fire Blast Charizard all the way to lvl 38.5. Do I waste them? Well, his attack animation is just so cool. He is also the top choice by auto-selection when attacking Exeggutors.
In conclusion, Charizard is still useful in some sense, still a cool Pokemon to play with, but just not good enough to be a Tier1.

Charizard is not the most relevant Pokémon, but it's new moves are better than the old ones. If you like Charizard you can get a better one now, so why not evolve?

I have got a good WA/FB Charizard but if I get the candy together for another one I'm gonna evolve one.
