Prestiging Mons and ?s

Realistically, what level mons do I need to keep to prestige with? It seems as if I do better using 1k-700 level mons to kill off 2-3. Also, what is good gen 2 pokemon to prestige with? One more question, what the heck happened to the search on this site? It's now a Google search engine.

A good Gen 2 to prestige with is Pillowswine.

If you can get your hands on a Scizor with a good moveset it can be good too as it only have fire weakness.

A low level 15XX CP Blissey with Pound/DG can prestige great against 30XXCP dragonites with dodging involved.

Umbreon is a solid prestiger in general, especially against Exeggutor. Scizor with bug moves also fills this role nicely, but is less general. Pilloswine has the same role cloyster did (prestige dragonite), but I'm not sure one is really hugely better. I guess you could use bellosom to prestige against Rhydon or Vaporeon. Pure grass type with a good max CP as a prestiger. Ampharos is a solid electric, but everyone has jolteon and electabuzz already. Plus, with volt switch, it may have more value in a gym...

Not all of these are bestandard choices. I tried to make an exhaustive list.

In general, my prestigers are 1100-1350 CP. Most mons in gyms of concern are between 2200 and 2700, so this range works well.
