Vileplume is better than Venusaur as grass attacker now?

I'm pretty sure they are both better than my 15/15/15 Bellossom with RL/LB.

Petal blizzard does more dps than solar beam because it is a shorter lasting attack. It does both less damage and takes less time, but this does end up resulting in higher dps. This doesn't make it better than solar beam. I'd prefer to use solar beam since it deals quite a bit more damage.

I'd rather use vine whip than razor leaf since it's much faster.

Petal Blizzard is about as strong as Solar Beam used to be, but a little faster. They both increased in power, but Solar Beam's energy cost stayed the same and Petal Blizzard's energy cost doubled.

IMO, it was the 50 energy cost that made Petal Blizzard worthwhile, and Vine Whip/Petal Blizzard was a pretty good attacking moveset. Now that Petal Blizzard has lost the 50 energy advantage, Solar Beam is my preferred attacking grass charge move.
Vine Whip has lower DPS than Razor Leaf, but it has a shorter time which allows for easier dodging and generates more EPS which allows using charge moves sooner.

Solar Beam is still better than Petal Blizzard. Given that they are both full charge moves, you generally want the most damage out of them, and 180 damage is much better than 110 damage.

The best grass attacker is actually Victreebel, Venusaur is close second.. or first if you consider him being a bit bulkier
