Blissey Investment or Evolve another Chansey
So couple of days ago I decide to gamble and evolve my highest IV Chansey 96% and got P/HB, but unfortunately the cp 45 so I wondering should I invest this Chansey or gamble again by evolving another Chansey and hoping to get one with ZH and DB/HB?
Chansey:
1. 984 cp 84% IV 14/13/11
2. 810 cp 82% IV 13/14/10
3. 809 cp 84% IV 13/12/13
4. 791 cp 84% IV 11/14/13
5. 325 cp 93% IV 14/14/14
6. 321 cp 89% IV 13/15/12
I can max out one of them with 203 candies and my trainer lvl is 33. I'm leaning towards option 1 because to save dust and 5 because it's the highest iv I have now.
Thanks for the reply in an advance.

I think you may be over optimistic on the ability to acquire the candies post valentines event. In my biome you are pretty much slow grinding buddy candies from here on out. If he had 250 after valentine event he most likely in the same boat less you get lucky on a 10k or see a chansey in the wild every 2-3 months and catch it with a pinap berry.
I'd much rather power a high level, decent IV all the way and still have enough candies I wasn't staring at like 500 km in the face just to have 2.
I would power up the 98%er, but that my style.
Agree. If it was worth evolving, why should it suddenly not be worth powering up? Other way round: If it is not worth powering up, for what reason it has been evolved?
When moveset is ok, it woud be inconsequent to have evolved it and not to power it up. It would have been a waste of 50 Candys for evolving - 250 km walking streak.
The CP potential of the 96% one is probably the highest (depends on IV spread) but I'm not sure I'd be willing to invest the dust into it yet given the uncertainty of things right now. There is a reasonable chance that Blissey will be nerfed. Might not be, though.
If you want a usable Blissey now, maybe evolve the 984 Chansey?
It's a tough one.
I have done 4 evolves...
The first Z/DG
The next 3 are all Z/P
The z/DG and one Z/P is powered to the max, because I have the candy (one of those lucky ones during the event) and it has massive IV/CP.
What I am saying is you could go many many times before you get the moveset you want...and can you spare the candy if that happens?
She is still a tank, no matter the moveset - and she protects a gym far better near the top than at the bottom.
Yesterday it was closer, but Pound got nerfed across the board today, while it's not quite Lick/Snorlax bad on defense, Pound now does around 4.4 DPS on defense with STAB while Zen does 6 without and has better typing.
Personally I'd power that one up just because I wouldn't want to be staring 700 km in the face (maybe a few less with some luck) just to evolve and power up another to max.
Just a matter of preference, you can't power up two anyways...
I reckon you've just got about 1 more roll of the dice with 150 candies. 1 more evolve will get you down to 100 candies and that should be used to powerup your best moveset Blissey. If you end up with P/HB again it's 50 candies down the tube, though.
BTW, i think your stardust situation needs to be looked at, sub-200k is not very good :(
I was probably in the minority, but I caught a lot of Chanseys during the v-day event and had over 500 candies...
That being the case, I took a level 2 one caught last year to my max level. It had max att/def so I felt it was worth it for the higher CP since I was planning to just stick it in a gym and already don't have enough defenders...
Since Blissey is 6th off the max CP list, she needs all the CP she can get, especially at the higher levels (30+) since not many people are willing to power up over 30 or level 33 as candies tend to be the limiting factor...
That said, I'd rather max out fewer defenders since you really only need 10-12 to get a stable stream of dust/coins if you have gyms that stay standing in your area and as the game moves on, CP creep will simply go higher and higher...
This makes powering up past 33 possibly a requirement for mons like Blissey who is again, 6th off max CP currently.
At the higher levels, an 84% Blissey maybe off 40-50CP from max so that is close to 2 powerups. This translates to probably 14 candies already (over level 33).
Since you evolved 1 already, using 50 candies to evolve another is too costly IMO since 50 candies can take your low level one to level 20 pretty much.
As we see with the moves just today, then can change as to what's best so like someone else posted, I'd rather max the one I already evolved and try to push that one higher...
Also, with how the game is, it's probably better to diversify and not invest in any 1 species as they can nerf the CP (like Lapras) so probably a good idea to limit gym defenders to a few types in case they get nerfed.
With the gym rankings the way they are, I am trying to probably max just 2 or each type now.
Edit:
Wanted to add that with the changes to quick attacks again and keeping charged damage, ANY Blissey falls now to tons of attackers (like Exeggutor, etc...) so IMO, moveset decisions are not as important on defense as people make it out to be...
If I wanted to tear down a gym, I wouldn't care if your Blissey was ZH/DG or P/P...
I'd also assume strong gym attackers have 1000 item storage and aren't worried about potions/revives so again, IMO, CP is king in gym defense so I tend to lean towards always powering higher IV mons since you really need "less" defenders if you're always at the top of a gym.
Still have enough candies to push both my Blisseys to Level 37 making them over 3000CP so hopefully, that will be ok for a long long while as I won't hit level 36 probably for a year+ :)
