Evolution question
OK - if I understand correctly, a pokemon you evolve is more powerful than the same wild pokemon (I.E. a Charizard you evolve from Charmelon is better than one you may find).
What about 2-stage evolutions? Will the pokemon be more powerful if you evolve both stages yourself, or do you just have to evolve the last stage.
For example, if I found a wild igglybuff and evolve it twice, would it be more powerful than if I found a jigglypuff that I evolved once (assuming everything else is the same)?

What determines the strength of a particular pokemon among others within its species is its IVs (individual values). Attack, Defense and HP can all be anywhere between 0 and 15 for a wild pokemon. They will be between 10 and 15 for the ones you hatch. There's a higher chance of hatching a strong pokemon than that of catching a strong pokemon. But once you have it, you have it, it doesn't matter whether you hatched it or caught it. IVs don't change with evolutions.
