Best Tyranitar Moves

Am I right to assume bite is the best quick move? How bout the charge move, is SE better than C?

A lot of dual type Pokemon have dual type best ms, I think thats what Niantic was trying to go for. so yeah Tyranitar's best offensive imo is Bite/SE, dark/rock just like his typing.
Iron Tail/Crunch is probably the best defensive MS

You can't just add the two "DPS" from the two moves and divide by two - that's not how the game works. Bite/Crunch for Tyranitar has the highest DPS of his 6 moveset combinations. IMO as a trainer, I'd probably also prefer Bite/SE as SE has a way faster cooldown - and the DPS significance between the two are negligible.

Crunch has actually very bad dps, even with stab it greatly falls under fire blast. I wouldn't rank bite/crunch an A moveset.

You guys can believe me or not. Here's my data, where is yours? The following is for a 2750 CP Tyranitar vs a mon (non-super effective) with 165 defensive stat (IV included). The column under the 2750 is the actual (unrounded) value of damage he will do per second.

Well you go ahead and use your incredible crunch, I will sure as hell not do that. Just look at it, 70 dmg or a bit more with stab and 3.2 second cooldown. Ew.
