What was you’re first shiny Pokémon?

Well, it was technically Magikarp! When I was walking through a bay, I've found a 109 CP magikarp, and it was yellow! I freaked out! And I was so happy because back in 2017 shiny Pokemon was a thing in Pokemon go!

A Magikarp, during the water event (catch date: 3/27/2017) when they were released as the first shinies. It was low level but had decent enough IV's (73%), so I evolved it and powered it up over time to L38.5. It rolled DT/O, which at the time, before TM's, was considered one of the best Gyarados movesets, and was fun to use against Dragonites in the old gym system.

With the current gym & raid system, it hasn't seen much use until recently, but with the appearance of Palkia, it is on my "B" team, and in particular, frequently sees action against draco meteor Palkia.

Magikarp was the first shiny released in Pokemon Go, hence the answers above (likewise for me too).

It is also my favourite species. Magikarp Jump is the only other Pokemon mobile game that I have played (already beat the Champion League).

Still dreaming about a 100% shiny Magikarp.

Magikarp at level 30 on a stroll in the south bank of London. Pretty bad IV (33%) but instantly evolved as a ‘dragon attacker’. It holds the legacy dragon tail and outrage.

Magikarp for me as well, as I think the next one didn't arrive until a long time later.

Mine was IV 96 from raid. Back then it was CP125 as a perfect and mine was CP124. So happy about it!

The day they were released, the local park happened to be a nest
As soon as I saw the release, I went there and first one I caught was shiny.

Within 30 minutes the park was packed.

I posted it on the City FB page and got flamed for attempting to troll about shiny release.
Needless to say...they believed it later 😉

Sableye. Halloween 2017 when they released the ghosts. Still my favorite shiny.

I didn't have luck when Golden Karp dropped (actually i only got my first one in last November...) and when the Halloween 2017 was out, my 2nd Sableye was a shiny hahah

My first ever shiny was a wingull, I didn't even know what shiny Pokemon were when I caught it I was so new to Pokemon go, it was probably one of the first Pokemon I caught.

My first was Dratini for its CD and I got immensely excited! Now it's a bit more expected if I can really do community day right.

Thus far I'm up to 15 shiny species and I admit I still get a thrill when one shows up on my catch screen. :)
