It is better to purchase a second Charge Move for all of those Pokemon than to us a TM to get those moves. Body Slam Snorlax is (slightly) better than Outrage Snorlax overall (PvP Outrage probably works better, but as a Gym Defender Body Slam is much better), Dynamic Punch Machamp is better than Rock Slide Machamp (everywhere; Rock Slide is a good SECOND move for coverage, but you want Dynamic Punch for Machamp), and Ampharos is...

Is...

Well, Ampharos has really great hair in its Mega form.

"PvP Outrage probably works better, but as a Gym Defender Body Slam is much better"

PvP Body Slam is deadly. Has STAB, and does enough damage to make your foe use up shields, and hits with it fast enough to give your foe a problem. Outrage would also be good for PvP, but if I had to pick one, it's BS by a hair. Of course, now we don't have to pick just one, ....

Otherwise agree completely with post above.

I feel like Outrage was given to Snorlax explicitly to serve as a Giratina counter. It has immunity-tier resistance to Shadow Claw and Shadow Sneak and can hit it for SE damage with Lick + Outrage. Having said that I have no idea how well it works in practice.

Rockslide machamp is more or less unwalled now. Gyarados, dragonite, togekiss and pokemon like gardevoir meant to wall out machamp for fighting resistance no longer do because rockslide hits them either super effective, or in the case of gardevoir who's fragile, strong neutral damage. I added the second move to it, tested it out on a nearby gym, it felt like it was simply too good of a gym clearer now. I'd add it as soon as you can, its fantastic.

Outrage is mostly for PvP and it good agaisnt giratina, but the most recent additions made pokemon like suicune also better against it. Powergem adds a faster move thats nonlegacy, which might be good, haven't tested it yet.

I truly hope no one takes your advice.

Talk about WASTED resources. Gym clearers are next to WORTHLESS. Who even fights gyms that aren't essentially fully demotivated anymore? Who is this for?! Gyms have sucked for a long time. NO ONE CARES.

The MAIN reason they add the move is to make the Machamp raid more difficult.

Its worthless for PvE, the only thing Machamp is good at.

SAVE YOUR DUST (and Charged TMs) both are more valuable than a Machamp with Rock Slide. DUH. Holy moly.

Lots of people fight full motivation gyms. I already had a maxed Machamp with C/DP+HS to deal with fairy defenders placed in between Blis-Snor-Loth. I've seen a few meta-savvy players start placing Charizard and Gyarados in between the fat normal types since they resist both fighting and steel.

The day I heard Machamp now had access to Rock Slide, I changed Heavy Slam to Rock Slide, and have no regrets. Rock Slide is the strongest rock type move. Aside from fairy types, Rock Slide is a much better type coverage move.

Lol you are such a bore and either too lazy or too weak to fight motivated gyms. Get out of here with your condescending, boring, unmotivated, and factually loser attitude. You must be one of those lame ones that leave gyms untouched before a raid when they belong to an opposing team and then just rides along with the wrong unpowered counters.

"who is this for?"
This is for people that still play the game. You know, the few majorities of us that don't suck.

Most of the moves added were done so for off-type coverage. All three of the Pokemon you listed fall into that camp.

Snorlax's claim to fame is being able to spam Body Slams both on gym defense and in PvP. This recent changes actually made Body Slam stronger, making it more enticing. Outrage on gym defense is much stronger and has different resistances, but it also takes longer to use and is MUCH easier to dodge. In PvP it keeps Snorlax something to hit Giratina with.

Similar case with Machamp and Rock Slide. Dynamic Punch should be its main move with Rock Slide providing flying coverage, allowing it to shred through gyms faster and gives it something to retaliate against birds in PvP with. Perhaps most notably, Gyarados doesn't force a switch for it anymore.

Once again, Ampharos gets nifty off-type coverage with Power Gem, though I'm having difficulty seeing use cases for it. It requires the same PvP energy as Thunder and Dragon Pulse while having lower base damage than the other two. On gym defense you're better off using Dragon Pulse if you have it, otherwise it's only slightly less resisted by ground types. On gym offense, its advantage is being 2-bar but otherwise has lower DPS than the electric moves.

tl;dr They make nice second moves to varying degrees but overall should not take precedence over moves.
