Mewtwo
I was planning on investing into my 94% ice beam or 96% electric move (I don't know the name in english) mewtwo but I've had a couple people discourage me about it. Is it still worth investing into a mewtwo without shadow ball? I have around 160 mewtwo candies and they are at level 20.

For PvP, Ice Beam + Thunder Bolt might be better then Ice Beam + Shadow Ball. It really depends on the pokemon you face and the role your Mewtwo has to fill. So it's not like your Mewtwo is bad, far from it.
The problem with a Shadow Ball Mewtwo is that you can't really TM away from it. So your kinda stuck with it. You can be a lot more flexible with your Mewtwo. After all, another move is just a few (fingers crossed) TMs away.
Not saying that Shadow Ball isn't really good. It is, and especially for raids. But not having Shadow Ball doesn't make Mewtwo bad, it just depends on what you want.
For PvP, i'd say depends on what you have in the way of electric and ice attackers.
If for raids, i'd say its not worth investing in, theres many pokemon better than mewtwo as an electric raid attacker (which are also much less costly) and theres currently one better ice attacker (weavile), but after mamoswine and glaceon come out, there will be 2 more ice types better than mewtwo. All three are also a lot lest costly.
The real question, much like for Kyogre and Groudon, is when will Mewtwo get its signature move, Psystrike, and how. Will we be able to add it, or will we need to catch a new Pokemon to get it?
I suspect that these moves will come out after power creep has many other Pokemon being more powerful than these classic ones, and the new moves will make the classics relevant again.
But there will be a lot of annoyed veteran players if they discover that their top IV fully powered up Kyogres and Groudons can never get a signature move, so I suspect it will be something like a quest to get a "Signature TM" that will give one pokemon its signature move, which will limit it to a small number per trainer. I shudder to think how it would be if the hard core players had teams of 6 Kyogres with Origin Pulse. That would be the best option for almost every raid or fight.
The thing about psystrike mewtwo is that it will be different effectiveness wise to our current mewtwo, and current Psychic mewtwo can be Tm'd over to alternative use, Groudon and Kyogre are a different story. Most use kyogre for water offense, which is what OP will do. Precipice blades groudon will be a bit in between. Solar beam is groudon best set raid wise, given how bad ground moves are outside of PvP and outside of heatran.
I dont think they will make pokemon more powereful than either of these, for groudon, the only possible contenders were garchomp if it got Dig and Rhyperior with Drill run. Adding Earth power could change that, but as neither of them got those move, there is no ground type in any later generation that comes close to groudon, it is completely future proofed. Kyogre's only threat was palkia, who doesnt have a water fast move. No other powerful water type exists in the series to the caliber of Kyogre aside from eventual CD Primarina if it has watergun as a fast move, but that is a gen 7 pokemon. Neither Groudon nor Kyogre have any threat of powercreep, Groudon for ever and kyogre's is a gen 7 mon with a CD Hydrocannon
Personally I hope they never release PB or OP, or even psystrike as raid moves, maybe make them moves you only get if mega's are added, and the same type moves becomes that, like EQ on groudon becomes PB, HP becomes OP on kyogre, and Psychic becomes PS when all primal revert or mega.
Sidenote, Psystike's in game code, but its not much better than Psychic, Future sight is still a better psychic move, i'd rather that on my mewtwo than Psystrike.
