Shiny Sandshrew

So, I know they released shiny sandshrew for the event in Japan, but does anyone know if they have released shiny sandshrew worldwide? I've been seeing sandshrews pop up around my area and click on each one, but don't want to waste the time if they're not a potential shiny. (I mainly shiny hunt and have only recently gotten into the raiding scene).
