For me it started against the leaders. First match was in the unlimited league and i got 500 Dust. After that no reward anymore even when changing the league.

After that against a friend. Went 2-4 (2x each league). Funny thing was our unlimited team was identical (Mewtwo, Kyogre, Ttar). I went Mewtwo first he with dark Ttar, which secured him the win. He won the second match as well.

in 2500 league (Venusaur, Snorlax, Charizard) I got the better of him (Moltres, A. Golem & Vaporeon) and 1500league I lost both by lag/no conection (cheap excuse but not untrue)

Rewards for that (first 3 games, didnt matter if win or lose)
500Dust, S. Stone, 1000Dust

So far I've only had fights in the Master and Ultra Leagues. Master I've used Mewtwo, Rayquaza, and the 3rd has been shuffled between Kyogre and Metagross. Not creative but hey, it was fun getting a feel for how PvP works with them.

Ultra League I got creative with my team. Giratina, Deoxys, and Metagross and Typhlosion being swapped around the last slot. Lots of fun, I really enjoyed getting some use out of Giratina. Psycho Boost hits pretty damn hard but I don't recall being able to use it more than once.

I have just been doing some battles with my kids, trying out different pokemon with different movesets, see how they feel. I'm not really trying to beat them, I don't want to upset them, plus their pokemon are pretty predictable.

I will say this. THANK YOU NIANTIC for finally putting a feature in the game that allows you to do more than throw pokeballs while at home. I have never understood why you couldn't battle the 3 trainers from the beginning, allowing you do SOMETHING and practice. My issue has been that with 2 kids, and especially with cold weather, there isn't anything for them to do other than beg me to get the pokeballs. I get them some, the blow through them in a day, and ask for more. My kids can now do something even if they don't have pokeballs, so it makes the game so much better for them.

Just played a couple matches after work with a friend and we both were surprised how much fun it was! There is definitely some strategy with who to use the shield vs. Tanking the charge move. So far I say 10/10

Record: 14-4
Rewards: Dust and dust only :(
Teams: In Great my teams have mostly consisted of Altaria, Steelix, Umbreon, Blastoise, Meganium and A-Ninetales, all have felt good.
In Ultra I've liked Metagross, Charizard, Umbreon, Blastoise and Venusaur so far.

I think everyone on here is a combined 4,356-1 against the leaders. (Someone fell asleep and lost)

Bored.

I'm really, really bored with it.

It's just... meh. Tap tap tap tap taptaptap poundpoundpoundPOUNDPOUNDPOUNDPOUND.... repeat.

I like getting the Sinnoh stones from it, but other than that, I'm bored senseless with it.

(My daughter loves it, but I'm pretty sure if I let her keep battling she's going to wreck her tablet because she hits it too hard because she's excited. Which is annoying.)
