Should power up 100%IV dragonite with steel wing and hyper beam?

Hi all,

before this, i have 100% iv dragonair 649cp.
Thinking of giving a try to evolve to 1300cp dragonite.
but gotten steel wing and hyper beam...

currently have another 80%iv 2248cp dragonite with steel wing and dragon pulse.

would like to hear some of the comment from you guys:
1) power up 100%iv 1300cp dragonite
2) power up 80%iv 2248cp dragonite with perfect defensive moves.
3) wait to make another dragonite with 91.1%iv cp689 draniti.

thanks in advance.

I was pondering a similar question myself some time ago. Perfect attacking moveset (breath and claw) with really bad IV's VS. good IV's and 2nd best attacking moveset (breath and pulse). I did some calculations/estimations and if I got it right, the better moveset with horrible IV's would have resulted better attacker. Thing is, Dragonite's base attack is so high (250) that the difference from the extra from IV's (max 15) that is added to base attack does not count for much.

For defense things work little differently, so I can't be sure, but I would lvl up the 80% IV's with perfect defensive moves.

yes it is hard decision, assuming i want to park this gym.. the gym right here have many close 3k dragonite, therefore usually i will just be the lower tier of the gym which got kicked out first.

just wondering if the 100%IV 1300dragonite which steel wing and HB will be bad or close to dragon pulse?

Or...

4) Try think for yourself and stop bragging this shit on Q&A section. People around here who take this website serious are getting really tired of this...

shame on yourself... why should someone make a mistake to learn instead of having help from who did that mistake before.. shame.....

it is not about bragging, just want to heard comments from the people here that either had already experienced it and came across same situation or suggestion if one encounter this.

this type of cp setup right here are very common FYI.

You guys are so crazy about 20% IV difference and A vs. B movesets that you forget how little difference it makes most of the time due to missing skill in dodging and timing attacks.

unless PVP comes out, those iv differences will not play a big part against AI

IF one day in the future PVP might come out the battling style will change because otherwise all fight will be draws due to time limit and dodging.

Also the individual skills are far far more important then 4 hp difference

that 20% IV diff resulted in around 66 cp at lvl 29.5 pokemon.

assuming it is meant to place in gym, it will decide on the upper tier or lower tier position.

just wondering if SW + DP and SW + HB is it much different in term of defensive gym.

I have 100% steel wing/hyper beam too.
I'm keep him power up.
Because I want to see 3500CP. That's my reason.
but i'm still looking for another...
