Best 2nd Pokemon in a lvl 10 gym to train on.?

Ok so I have a good bubble strat combo where I get 900prestige per battle.. After I've spent 15 min building it up to lvl 10 and letting my friends drop off their 9 Pokemon the gym is full with 10 Pokemon but In all reality the gym is a lvl 9 gym(I mean as it only has 9 good defenders)as 1st Pokemon is my lvl 15 poliwag(bubblestrat)

So I have a second account with a different team and if I jump on that I can easily kick out the first defender (my bubblestrat poliwag). now I sign back into my original account and start training on the other 9 Pokemon to get it back to lvl 10 so I can drop off a real defender.. But this seems to take awhile and take a decent amount of potions. We want all 10 defenders to be good so we are not just gonna throw a lvl 800 Pokemon on as 2nd defender. The only combo that we have found remotely effective is after my bubble start poliwag we throw on a 1110cp flareon and a 1300 flareon.. Then we can take a 1000cp poliwrath beat both of those and run away and we get 1050prestige a battle and that builds it up decently fast ..but honestly flareons are crap defenders for anyone else who comes along so we would like a better option but there might not be one.

So I guess I want to know if anyone does something similar to what we are doing and if you have found a high cp Pokemon or two that you can throw on after your bubblestat is kicked out so you can spend the least amount of time training it back to lvl 10 to be able to drop off a good defender in place of the bubblestrat Pokemon.??

Hope that all made sence and Thanks for any help!

there is no point choose a 10th defender. it will be kicked out when the prestige drop from 50000 to 49500.

By using dodge, you can defeat any pokemon with lower CP, which gives you 500+ prestige (50000-49500=500)

I get what your saying.. And your prob. Right it doesn't matter.. But once you build it to lvl 10 and then kick out the bottom defender...gym drops to lvl9 and 49500 preistige(or how ever much prestige it went down).. When you build it back to lvl 10 50000 prestige and then drop a 1800cp Pokemon the gym actually jumps to 52000 prestige..

So in that scenario it still matters alittle but not a whole lot more. So I understand your point

prestige can go up to 68000, but any behavior change the prestige (including increasing by training), reset the prestige to 50000. Yes it still mater a little bit.

Very interesting.. So your saying if I build the gym up to 50000k then every person who drops off a Pokemon the prestige goes up 2000..2000x9= 18000
50000+18000= 68000. Wow didn't know that..

Now if another team attacks it do they have to work it down from 68000 to 49500 to knock it down to lvl 9 or as soon as they start attacking prestige drops down to 50000?

And you said above that if the prestige was 68000 and I tried to train on it. It would automatically drop to 50000...? Did I read that correctly?

I always use a wigglytuf with pound+hyper beam to train at lvl 9 gyms. If the first opponent is a vaporeon, then I'll use a solar beam tangela or parasect (depending on the vape's CP). It's always useful to have several types of pokemon with the right movesets at CP 1000-1200 for these kinds of situation.

That way, I'm always able to train lvl 7-9 gyms one level higher by my self, drop a good pokemon there, and having the gym full of good defenders only.

At least in my area lvl 9 gyms tend to hold for 1 to 2 weeks and people around are always bringing it back to lvl 10...

What you're asking for is a Pokemon that is easy to beat in battle for you, but not for an attacker. The only way to achieve that is to use a defender that doesn't have readily available answers in your area, but you have a good counter for.
