Movesets random or fixed?

My friend and I both caught a 100% IV Magicarp at the same time/place. He collected the 400 candies to evolve it to Gyarados before I did and he ended up with Bite/Twister. If I evolve the same Magicarp, is mine destined to get the same moveset or is it random per evolve? I'm trying to decide if I should evolve the 100% IV one or go with another try to avoid getting Twister.

Since you caught it at the same place/time, it will have the same moveset. Do not evolve it.....catch another one

Hello, It's random, you can evolve it!
I've got the same doubt.

I've tested with 2 of my friends, all of us got the same pidgey, evolved them to pidgeot, and the moveset was different: same IV, but different moveset.

I've tested with dratini too, dragonite came with random moveset.

BUT REMEMBER, there is 1/3 chance that you get twister too, cuz twister is still a possible move to your gyarados.
