Yep, there were no special "Catch 3" quests unfortunately, maybe something to think of for next year if this happens again.

There were plenty of "catch 3" quests. They just didn't specify a particular pokemon. I did several of them during the event, getting 5 Great Balls, 2 Ultra Balls, and 500 dust for them.

The catch 3 quests only happened during the normal CD window, when the bonuses were active. Maybe you missed them.

Im a bit suprised they didnt bring it back, but I think I can understand why. It was linked with the catch squrtle research, and if they made it "catch 5 pokemon" it wouldn't really make as much sense. They might bring it back tomorrow, but I dont think so.
