How many fast TMs would you estimate you’ve thrown away?

I would love to trade 5 fast TM for 1 charge TM.

With bag space an issue I am thinking of throwing out 10 or 20 fast TMs.

0. Spend them on mew if nothing else.

Or Mewtwo depending on which fast move you need for the T5... basically anything with two effectiveness profiles.

couldn't agree more.

Plus with all the great gen 4 evolutions, and some of the legendaries in gen 4, never know what you might need them for.

never tossed a tm, never know when you'd get an iron tail tyrnatiar or steelwing dragonite, amirite?

None
I use it instead for fun like trying to change my Hex Gengar to Lick in the name of science
Also change my Mewtwo to Confusion - Shadow Ball at Gengar days, and back to Psycho Cut after that.
Or when i trade with trainer that still need a good counter, for example evolving high CP Machop to Machamp but get a bad moveset, then TM it for Counter. But not Charge move TM, i am stingy with that. But atleast they have Counter- Heavy Slam for a start.

0. I am 100% sure that it is never correct to throw away a fast TM because there is always something you need less in your bag. Feed berries to gyms, toss some potions or revives or even great balls (in case you need the pokeballs for go+). Tossing TMs seems like the epitome of vanity paired with a lack of creativity. As others have mentioned: Mew, flexible change of fast moves on Mewtwo and so on.

100% and never?? I strongly disagree.

I've probably thrown out about 30 fast TMs. I've never seen a reason to hold more than about 10 of them. You get the desired move on your first try guaranteed - I'm not getting over 10 new Pokemon that need to be fast Tm'd anywhere close to that quickly.

Mew? Why would I use that?
Mewtwo? Already use fast TMs on two of them for machamp solos if he has heavy slam.

Why is it appropriate?
Let's just say that on Beldum CD I ran out of pinaps and balls (and I never keep any Nanab or Razz in my bag). Obviously it doesn't help only having 650 bag storage, 200 of which are being used for rare candies and another handful for charge TMs, as well as about 30 for raid passes and incubators from an ultra box (mostly raid passes from the water festival box... I don't go through them very fast). But yes, I value evolving a couple extra legacy Metagross over fast TMs.

Same deals on larvitar, eevee, and cyndaquil community days. If there's huge Stardust gains or a meta relevant CD move available, I'm prioritizing balls (and pinap in later case) over fast TMs for sure.

Not sure, but probably atleast 30 fast and maybe 15 charge.

0. I've spent a bunch on swapping mons back and forth for different use, many to get Mew to DT after CTMs rolled DC for it and at least 20 on Starmies to check their Hidden Power back when I was collecting those.

I know people who have to regularly trash them due to raiding so much. If I were ever in a similar situation, I would at least check every mon in my storage and fix even the most useless collectibles to have the correct fast move.

I’d rather feed 10 GRB in a gym for the 200 stardust or throw it at Pidgey for guaranteed catch than throwing away any TM, if what I need is bag space.
