Random question...is there ANY android tablet that will work with Pokémon Go? I want to be able to play over my WiFi at home/work? I see the "requirements" on Niantics site; however, I bought a Samsung tablet (with all the requirements) and had to return it today because the game "was not supported". Thanks.

I use a Lenovo Tab3 7. So cheap but works OK.
I use it on wifi at home and free wifi spots and 'mobile hotspot' from my phone when I am out and about.
It leaves my phone free to use as a phone and I can have PoGo running at all times.
It was very cheap, and so I don't mind having it as a dedicated PoGo device.

PoGo is never off, and I can still use my phone as a phone while I play.

do you have the tab3 essential...or just the regular tab 3? Thanks.

For the most part, if a tablet is wi-fi only, it won't work for Pokemon Go. I have a tablet with 4G that works (LG GTab X8.0). It does sound like the previous poster found one that works on Wi-fi only, however. Maybe a tablet only needs 4G capabilities, and not access, to run. Make sure it also has 2 GB RAM.

By previous poster I am going to guess you mean me.
My tablet is WiFi only - but I just make my phone a wifi hotspot...wifi anywhere.
I believe that catch to making PoGo working on a tablet, that only has wifi, is to ensure that the tablet has it's own GPS. Without the GPS function on the tablet, you will run into problems

I've tried it on a Samsung Note 12 and it installs and plays it but with some graphics issues. I wouldn't recommend it as a great experience.

I have Nvidia shield with Wifi only. I use my phone as wifi hotspot (tethering) when I'm on the go. Works just fine, though sometimes there is lag with gym fights. Not sure if it's because of the "phone -> wifi" connection or "phone -> internet -> niantic servers" connection which is to blame.

Oh, forgot to mention the best part: The stylus pen. the weather has been -15c during the coldest days. Stylus saves your fingers from freezing. Even at about 0c (30f) swiping your fingers on cold glass surface with get them frozen in no time.
