Wigglytuff strategy

I'm split on whether to invest in offensive or defensive wigglytuff.
I have a 95% tuff at 1293cp with pound and hyper beam. It's great as an attacker. Could be a sweeper if I power it up or I can keep it at 1293 to try to maximize prestige gain (in which case I'd invest in the defensive tuff anyway)

On the other hand I have a couple 91% jigglys that I can take a chance on for a better defensive move set.

Jiggly candies are fairly hard to come by so I'm being a real miser. What are your opinions on offensive vs defensive wigglytuff?

Go for the offensive wigglytuff. i love mine.

The slight problem with a defensive wigglytuff is the low cp ceiling. when you pump up your 95% it might hit 1900 at level 30. There are plenty of better defenders that easily get over 2000 at level 30, meaning your wigglytuff won't be on top of the gym, and will fall out quicker.

But don't let the low cp fool you, it is a beast when attacking. with a little dodging (something the quick attack pound helps with immensely) my 1300 wigglytuff with pound/hypebeam take down 2000 snorlax.

Wiggly ftw.

I just have problems fighting body slam snorlax, but hell yeah, Wiggly can take a snorlax easily when dodging hyper beans and earthquakes.

Other problem with wiggly as a defender, is that she's gonna be much likely in the last slot and it's gonna make almost impossible to effectively train the gym (maybe attacking with a muk? I don't know... my lvl 20 muk has 100-200 more cp than my lvl 21,5 wiggly)

I'd definitely invest in the offensive one. Wigglytuff is an alright defender, but not top tier. Pound / Hyper Beam is the best offensive moveset and second best defensive moveset, not far behind Pound / Play Rough. Wigglytuff is also decent against Dragonite.

I'm in a similar situation: I got a Pound/Hyperbeam Wiggly and I won't power it up anymore. It is such a beast at fast gym training that there's no point at increasing its CP.
I'm waiting for a feint/play rough to power up as a defender, better as a 10th pokemon to attach to a gym. It would be exposed but...I'd love to think about how hard my Wiggly hurted before giving up :D.
Beside to that I have to say that it's quite boring to see always the same pokemons in gyms...so I like the off-meta Wiggly choice.

Consider also that Jiggly is one of the most generous buddies, it drops tons of candies per km compared to other buddies.
