Most eficient way for dodging?

How do young people dodge? Just wait and dodge the charge move ? Or try to dodge everysingle Attack? Usually when I try to dodge básic moves I end up doing less damage.

It depends. Some young people choose the best ways in their situation.

Againsting a 3000CP Deagonite, if you dodge everything, two 1000CP Goldeduck or Tentacruel is enough to crush him with ice charge moves

Againsting a 2600CP Snorlax, if you dodge everything with 2000CP Vaporeons you may lose after 100s.

It depends on the defending Pokémon and its moveset as well as the Pokémon you attack with and its moveset. But in general, always dodge charge moves. I dodge basic moves if the enemy Pokémon deals at least neutral damage to me and if the move is somewhat slow.

For example against Vaporeon I never dodge Water Gun because it deals so little damage and I'm usually I'm attacking Vaporeon with either Exeggutor, Venusaur or Dragonite so it deals 0,8x damage anyway.

On the other hand move like Confusion on Exeggutor is slow and deals lots of damage and the Pokémon I usually tend to attack with don't resist Psychic damage. This kind of move and attacker I'm more likely to dodge, but it still depends on what I attack with. If my attacker has a really fast quick move (eg. Water Gun) the dodging is easier to fit into your "rotation".

Try to feel out your most commonly used Pokémon for attacking, how easily does dodging fit into your rotation against different Pokémon. I'd say it becomes somewhat natural after doing enough gym battles.

My strategy: I try to dodge every damage according to the following situations

If my attacker has a fast attack (i.e. water gun) I can land 4 attacks and the efficiently dodge without losing DPS

If my attacker has an extremely slow attack (i.e. razor leaf) i can alternate 1 attack-1 dodge without DPS and EPS loss

With intermediate situations (i.e. Zen headbutt), or if I want to maximize EPS cause I need my charge move frequently, I dodge every other opponent fast attack (4 attacks, 1 dogde).

I found it helps to keep the timing of dodging and foresee the upcoming charge move.

This also depends on what quick move the defender has. Bubble for example hits a lot slower than Water Gun. However, I like your Zen Headbutt scenario where over time you only use the dodges that fit into your rotation. I use similar strategy myself.
