Last guaranteed Lucky - what should it be?

I’m a longtime PoGo player who came back to the game late this summer. I have one guaranteed Lucky left, so I’m trying to figure out what to trade for. I’m thinking I want an ideal gym/raid attacker.

I have a few dark TTar, one DT/O Dragonite, a couple recent Mewtwos (no SB), a couple Gyarados, a full Machamp squad, and a boatload of MM Metagross from community day. I also have a lot of high IV Rhydon who will hopefully become useful with Rhyperior soon.

I missed all the Hoenn legendaries while I wasn’t playing. I didn’t get any of the special move Legendary Birds either. I did get some workable Raikou/Entei/Suicunes from research though.

Where am I weakest, raid- and gym-attack wise - and who should I try to trade for to make best use of my last guaranteed Lucky?

I’m leaning toward Groudon, Kyogre, or Rayquaza but rumors that they might come back with better charge moves makes me apprehensive.

Give Swinub or Piloswine a look for the sake of Mamoswine imo, incredibly high stats and projected to be the furthest and away strongest ice type attacker as well as a very good ground type attacker as well (Even with Bulldoze). Ice type should be very good against future dragon-type raid bosses and the prevalent dragon-type gym defenders.

Ice is not a good attacking type against the future dragon-type raid bosses. Palkia, Dialga, Reshiram and Kyurem are all neutral to ice, leaving only Giratina and Zekrom weak to it. And even against them, Dragons out-DPS Mamoswine and are thus better counters.

Mamoswine is likely going to be a great pokemon, but if you want a dragon-counter, better pick Rayquaza.

How do you know you have a garanteed lucky!? How does it work!?

If a player who has less than 10 total lucky pokemon registered in their pokedex trades away a pokemon from July or August 2016, the trade is guaranteed to go lucky.

I'd say Rayquaza or SB Mewtwo. They're some of the strongest raid attackers and the highest damage generalists. And both are guaranteed to hold value even if their signature moves become available in exclusive raids later. Rayquaza's signature Dragon Ascent is a flying-type move, so won't outclass its dragon moves, and Mewtwo's signature Psystrike is psychic-type, so won't outclass Shadow Ball.

Shadow ball Mewtwo is likely the best choice...

While there could be a case for Ray/groudon, they both may return soon, since kyogre returned and they haven't yet.
Kyogre could be a good choice, but you do have Gyarados. Further, while kyogre may be water King, that doesn't mean it's necessarily the great in any raids (or best by a large margin). Metagross now outclasses kyogre in many of its preferred raids.

Shadow ball Mewtwo will remain a very strong generalist and specialist for a while.

Then there's the big consideration - you already have some Mewtwo. You'll save a boatload of Stardust by going with Mewtwo instead of a legendary you don't have (80k at best friends for a non owned legendary).

Are the guaranteed lucky trades still a thing? I was told that was just for a short time. While an older traded pokemon has a higher chance of being involved in a lucky trade, there are no more guarantees.
