guys I have one question.. I have a 100% IV snorlax with zen headbutt and hyper beam. my friend caught another one with 89% IV, but he has lick + hyper beam...

what is better?

I would say the 100% IV Snorlax. I have a 95% Snorlax with ZH and HB, as well. It is doing a fine job for gym battling. Although your friend's Snorlax has lick, 11% IV differences is a big deal in my opinion.

11% iv is not a big difference at all. Its about 1.1% higher cp if both of them were max cp which is about 20 cp higher.

Lick for offense (attacking) and Zen Headbutt for defense.

No mate, I think your question is a funny question so I gave you a funny answer.

If you really want to know the answer, take both to fight different pokemons many times until you have data big enough to conclude which one is better.

Rather than just compare all these tiny little things, enjoy your Snorlax and fight with him and stop posting all these nonsense questions.

My own opinion, you should transfer all of them then go catch a 100% Rattata to involve him/her (tell me as well if you know the gender) and hopefully he has Hyper Beam. Thumb up for your question.

Lick + hyper beam is just better.

lick + hyper beam does 5.5% more damage than zen headbutt + hyper beam(no dodge)(according to Professor_Kukui)

100IV does 0.9% more damage than 89%IV, and 2.2% better than 89% IV when Duel.(I assume 89%IV is distributed as 13.35/13.35/13.35, because I do not konw how IV percentage culculated and how your pokemon's IV distrubuted)

Lick is better at dodging too.
