Metagross: Best all round generalist?

Basically, Metagross already had a plethora of resistances in about 70% of matchups, and now Meteor Mash makes its damage viable. And the extent of what it resists is astounding. Here are some notable things it resists:

All of Blissey and Chansey's movesets
All of Snorlax's annoying moves (HS, BS, ZH)
Slaking's only reason it's relevant/random Pokemon that can pull the hard to dodge Play Rough out of their "ashes" (Ursaring, Donphan, etc.)
Resists Dragonite's entire moveset, and Dragon moves in general

It also is great against anti Machamp defenders, threatening Gardevoir and Clefable with SE moves, and having resistances to Flying, Psychic and Fairy, as well as an natural immunity to Poison. (Muk, Crobat)

Point is, most other generalists struggle to survive in these situations, in which Metagross can stay alive much longer, allowing it to do much more damage. It also does a crazy amount of DPS, coming out at around the top before even factoring in TDO. So is this correct? Or is Rayquaza/Mewtwo and others that come out above it DPS wise better?

Mewtwo: PC/FB offers a middle ground between high-DPS Machamp and high-TDO Metagross against Blissey (and the other Normal tanks, though to a lesser extent). PC/Sh and Cn/Sh remain better for raids, where DPS matters most, but are terrible for gyms.

Rayquaza: Higher neutral DPS, but no SE damage except against other dragons. Sharing a weakness to Fairy with Machamp also holds it back as a generalist gym attacker.

Raikou: Remains a top generalist gym attacker, especially against the common Water-type defendes (its main niche over Metagross as Fire-types are rare on defence).

Funny, my SB Mewtwo has a few thousand victories because I've found it so useful for gym battles. (Anything that resists ghost is weak to fighting. Machamp and SB Mewtwo are best buddies.)

Metagross is still behind (technically normal form Deoxys' best set but I dont think anyone would legitimately consider it viable at all), mewtwo with shadow ball and Rayquaza in terms of currently available Neutral DPS (SC gengar actually lags behind MM metagross) It is a fantastic generalist now. its absurd neutral DPS and massive TDO and not being resisted against in common gym match ups unlike machamp and the dragons, make it an absolute monster agaisnt gyms, and likely one of the best (if not the best) PVP option

Never seen either of the first two after FP venasaur came out which made bother compelte jokes. But I agree with the metagross.

I personally drop Milotic in gyms fairly frequently, depending on what’s in the gym already.

Blizzard is predictable because it's single bar and FP Venusaur easily defeats Milotic 1-v-1 as long as you dodge that one Blizzard. I don't know, I've never found Milotic's movesets particularly threatening.

Must depend on the area. In my current desert biome you didn't find any of them in gyms. I guess that metagross will be more frequent now.

Any one of these can be easily beaten by a single raikou. Mewtwo with Shadow Ball or Thunderbolt also destroys them. You forgot Gyarados actually.
