Trainer Level Wild Encounter catch

Hi All, I recently leveling up my secondary account and it is now at Level 30. I found out that I was able to capture wild weather boosted pokemon at level 35. Wild pokemon level cap is no longer cap at Trainer level + 2 (30+2=32 in my case) for weather boosted pokemon? I try to trade among my primary and secondary account, by trading a level 35 pokemon from my primary account to secondary account, but get a warning said that the trainer level is low so the CP will be decreases, but indeed in my storage I do have level 35 pokemon which I catch it during weather boosted. Has anyone encounter this issue?

The +2 is when catching a normal pokemon. Weather boosted pokemon is +5. So 30+5 checks out.

I see.. I guess there is no initiative for me to level up anymore then, since I do not plan to power up. Thanks.

If you're not powering up, what are you going to do with the dust you collect? >_>

Wild level cap was never trainer level +2.

Wild cap is equal to trainer level, max at level 30. Weather boost raises it to trainer level +5, max at level 35.

The highest you can power up a pokemon is trainer level +2. I assume this +2 power-up cap was so that when you catch a pokemon (before the introduction of raids and weather) you would always be able to at least power up a little bit.

And just for completeness:
- Egg hatches are equal to your trainer level at the time you received the egg, max at level 20.
- Research catches are always level 15.
- Raid catches are level 20. Raid catches that match the weather are level 25.
