Anti-Mewtwo team

So i'm going to try and trio some mewtwo raids with friends when they come out (its windy here somewhat often, dont know how much of an impact that makes for trio'ing) and I was wondering what level would I need to have some of my pokemon at (this is my psychic hard counter team, I have high level dragonite and SD tyrantiar for strong neutral damage, but i'd rather type advantage)

I have one dark offense tyrantar (all my best larvitar that would have gone to dark were evolved to SD in that event, and haven't been able to raid any tyranitar [none ever show up]) a max atk houndoom with its best dark set, a 14 atk psycho cut/SB mewtwo, and a pre lucky buff lucky shadow claw gengar 10atk

What levels would they need to be and other than the obvious 'get more tyranitar' what else needs to be added? I'm going to be raiding tyrantiar only until the birds come (and even during them if they dont have their exclusive moves)

You will need Machamp for those Tyranitar raids. /s

According to the guide, your Tyranitar, Houndoom, Gengar and Absol would be viable for Mewtwo trios at level 30. So are Pinsir and Scizor.

Really need more than 3 Machamp if you're going to trio'ing TTars (and you really need a full team of 6 for duos). Granted, there is a strategy where you can leave mid-battle to heal but... meh.

Honestly it depends how hard you play the movesets. Staples are the B/C Tyranitar, PC/SB Mewtwo, and SC/SB Gengar and by looks of you have at least one of each. Varying amounts of them will make up your base regardless of the charge move. At maxed out, Gengar is surprisingly bulky against PC/FB Mewtwo, thought it dies pretty quickly against any Confusion set.

If you don't have a plethora of Gengar and Mewtwo to handle Focus Blast you can rely on neutral heavy hitters like Rayquaza who actively resist FB. Pinsir isn't a bad choice against FB either. I pretty much lead with those three then go full dragon for the second half with Salamence and Dragonite.

Against Psychic and Shadow Ball Houndoom is a top pick. Psychic in particular you can use all dark, Mewtwo, and Scizor if you lack a 6th. Against Shadow Ball just run all dark, it's the easiest way. I've never fought one with Hyper Beam but it seems similar to Focus Blast with the inclusion of Tyranitar and replacing Pinsir with Scizor.

Mmmmmabye reading the guide might help. But then again who would you argue with when you didn't like the answers?

There’s a breakpoint calculator and trio guide that have all the answers you’re looking for. Getting each to level 30 is usually a good start.

Shadow Claw Gengar attack stat isn’t as important, even with low attack ivs it’s more dps than a 15 iv hex Gengar. But to use Gengar you need to dodge, especially shadow ball.

Dark tyranitar, houndoom, scizor, pinsir, and of course Mewtwo, are all good.

I am looking to 2 man it. Pokebattler says 1.98 vs Psycho Cut/Focus Blast in sunny or partly cloudy weather.

People that put in the extra legwork will be best friends somewhat soon...one reason to have started out exchanging gifts with your local 40x2'ers. I did that, but still too much from what I've seen

If my friend can reach similar numbers i will max that one too if needed if it means completing the 2 man.

As many Bite/Crunch Tyranitars as you have. Gengar, Scizor and Houndoom are secondary choices.

That is all you need.
