Since Motlres will be a Tier 4 will the chance to catch him increase from 2%?
First of all, the legendary birds, unlike the other legendaries, normally have a 3% catch rate.
Secondly, I'm pretty sure they raised the catch rate for Zapdos on Zapdos day, since I caught 10 out of 11, usually within the first few balls. Even without the two shinies (which have 100% catch rate), that would still be 8 out of 9.
My personal experience says that their catch rate was not increased. I found my Moltres very stubborn to get inside the ball. 2 of them run after 16 balls hitting great consistently and some excellent. But it's just my impression.
Worth to note that Moltres si particularly hard to hit when it's above on the screen. You need a long straight curve throw for that (roll the ball and swipe it quick and straight for a long line close to the middle of your screen)
