I also have a perfect but the Clefable doesn't have DG. (I'm fairytale cursed as Wigglytuff lacks PR and Clefable lacks DG). Never use it as any role. Offensively its role can be better done by other mons from other types (e.g. Dragon by Dragon or Ice, Fighting by Psychic or Flying). Defensively tends to use Master tier trio and those which can hardly get candy (so when feeding berry there's chance to get candy).
Clefable a really underrated attacker?
I have been using my 100% level 40 Clefable. I know her attack isn't great, but her bulk has me favoring her over Grandevior. That dazzling hits like a truck against those weak to her. I think her rating is far above 0. I haven't looked at the numbers, but she doesn't seem far behind Grandevior, just based on experience.

As mentioned, Clefable makes for a decent gym defender, but as an attacker, it's not really anything to write home about. Since it only has Fairy-typing, it lacks access to any STAB quick moves, and its attack and defense stats are pretty mediocre. It has a good amount of HP, but trails Gardevoir by 49pts in defense, which results in their overall bulk being quite similar. On top of that, Gardevoir is packing 59pts of extra attack, has better typing in some matchups, and access to the hard-hitting STAB confusion.
TL;DR: Gardevoir! All the Gardevoir! 😁
Not so keen on Clefable as an attacker, but as a defender, makes a lot of sense. Sitting between a Blissey and a Snorlax, the Machamp that takes those two down will get absolutely hammered by Zen Headbutt and Dazzling Gleam. Even Moonbeam does all right in that role.
Of course, a good gym attacker will know to switch out to any poison or steel pokemon to take down Clefairy, but if someone's being lazy, wham.
