Wigglytuff for gym defense

Should I train her?
It is well known that, Wigglytuff has a titanic amount of HP, it's attack it's somewhat ok I guess and, of course, it has Play Rough. The downside is, it's defense it's non-existent and there's better options for gym defense. (I've already maxed out a Blissey however, but I want to try something new)

I'm reading your answers. Thanks in advice!

Wigglytuff is namely interesting since it has fairy sub-typing, which means Machamp won't plow through it as quickly as other normal types, and will get hit back with STAB PR. That said, Wigglytuff is lacking in both attack/defense stats. It will end up being an ok defender with a slower decay rate, but nothing fancy. Personally, I wouldn't invest stardust on Wigglytuff.

Follow this interesting post I just checked all my Wigglytuff and shamefully among 5 of them still keeping in my bag none has PR.

Sigh.

I stick one in a gym that's already got a Blissey and Snorlax occassionally - it's a decent addition to a mixed gym, just not first class. Not sure I'd spend much dust on one though - keep an eye out for high cp catches in the wild - Jigglypuffs aren't uncommon.

I have thrown it in there. Clefable is my go to tho. She usually racks up a win or 2 because people are careless.

Its def is too low. I think Clefable is better.

Worse than Clefable because it doesn't resist fighting. Play Rough is amazing though and Wigglytuff can punish some attackers pretty hard because of it. I wouldn't spend any dust unless I had several million extra.

I wouldn't. My experience is that machamp kills it of very fast. The wigglytuffs i encountered were max level 30 i think, but it's Def is way to low, it's fast moves aren't effective VS fighting and it takes neutral damage from machamp. I think clefable would be better as Defender.
