Is it still possible to get shiny magikarp from eggs or wild magikarp or raids or anything?

Yes, i've never found one myself, but ive know several people that have.

All shinies stay available once launched.

Just at a much lower rate, of course.

Also note: Only the lowest evolutionary stages and Pikachu are available as shiny.

I got mine from a Magikarp raid.

I've caught all 10 of mine in the wild (I live in a water biome!). I do know they can be raided though. I don't think Magikarp hatches from eggs anymore so that method is probably out, unless I'm mistaken.

Took me 400 odd Karp (from its release) before I got a shiny on my main account

My alt acct on the other hand, it got one at the 19th one caught and then another at the 25th, with a shiny Absol in between. The saltiness was real haha. RNG can be a harsh mistress at times.
