EX raid pass sent out date

So far I have only received one ex raid pass so not very clear about how it works. I'm wondering how often it is sending out and usually on which day (Mon - Sun).

There's a EX wave sent out every week. Usually one day before the scheduled EX for the current week.
You must raid in elegible gyms within that week to get a ticket for the lottery. For example, I raided the elegible gym yesterday morning and I got a EX pass in the evening (~9pm). Times vary depending on your time zone.

So it means if a gym is scheduled to have ex raid tomorrow it's still possible for me to get a pass tonight?

I only know 3 eligible gyms in my area and only 1 of them I can raid regularly. It's also possible that gym is not selected for next week.

Passes are sent out eight days before the EX Raid. Once the passes are sent out, the gym will have no raids for eight days (until the EX Raid ends).
