Double candy half egg distance

When does it end here in the US?

And are there current mons that it would be good to collect candy for upcoming gen4 evolutions?

Thanks!

Ends the 23rd, presumably 1PDT.

The following Pokemon get an evolution in Gen 4, with varying levels of usability: Roselia, Aipom, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Sneasel, Magneton, Lickitung, Rhydon, Tangela, Electabuzz, Magmar, Togetic, Yanma, Eevee (x2), Gligar, Piloswine, Porygon2, Kirlia (male only), Nosepass, Dusclops, Snorunt (female only).

Many of them likely to require an evolution item or potentially know a particular move, making some susceptible to having moves made legacy. Tangela and Piloswine for example are required to know Ancient Power in the main series in order to evolve, but they currently do not receive this in Go.

To elaborate, ones whose evolutions are unlikely to be good include: Aipom, Misdreavus, Lickitung, Gligar, Nosepass, Dusclops, Snorunt. This is based purely on their stats, none of these have the high attack stat required to compete in the DPS-centric meta or the bulk required to make a good gym defender. The rest have potential.

Good point about the potential legacy moves, hadn't considered that. Will be interesting to see how Niantic implements these evolutions.

Some moves need to be added as well if they go that route. Aipom needs Double Hit to evolve, Lickitung needs Rollout.
