Theorycraft we both catch same pokemon, evolves the same?

So my theory is if we both catch the same one and evolve it will it be the same moveset.

No, the movesets can be different.

But you could test it the next time you see someone playing. Preferably you would find someone that is the same team and the same level as you and you both catch it with the same kind of ball just to minimize any other variables. But the leading theory is movesets are just randomly selected.

Movesets involve a dice roll in the move pool.

Your theory is incorrect based on my experiences. I often play Pokemon Go with my wife. Both of us are the same level most of the time.

We caught the same pokemon with the same CP. But once we evolve, we can get different movesets.

And from my experience with Eevee, we can get a completely different pokemon.
