Venusaur after this Event

That 91 IV (VW/SB) is the tank to power up in my opinion. I have a 100% (VW/PB) and he mows through Vapes but I've heard that the solar beam is devastating.

In truth, the Exeggutor with (ZH/SB) is a beast against the Vapes too but two STAB grass attacks from a Veno is hard to beat.

Im starting to get really tired of ya being lucky with these pokemon while im getting 50% and below iv starters ?. My vw/sb Venusaur is like 60% 8/7/9 something like that. Ya are so dam lucky i swear. Im sitting on nearly 200 candies of each waiting for a good iv starter to evolve.

I evolved 11 venusaur and got 0 vw/sb. I got a good 98% 1800cp one with VW/PB though.
Those are the only two movesets worth powering.

Id say worry less about IV and more with starting CP and moveset. The ideal bulbasaur/eggy is gonna be level 30 with and atk IV over 12. If you were to compare a 3 Venusaur with the same moveset but one is 100% iv level 30, 100% iv level 35 and a 60%iv level 30 you would find that the primary difference is the #candies and stardust invested. The amount of time that each of these takes down a Vape will be negligible. You might spend an extra 2 seconds for each minute you battle. In the end Dragonite with DB is a much better vape counter and once you have one these your eggy and venus will gather dust in your inventory. I wouldn't put much stardust in these.

I'd power up the Razor Leaf + Solar Beam one, as I have one myself and it's a fucking beast against Vapes. I'd suggest to try it first though, to see if the slower quick move suits your style well enough.

I was also quite lucky. I just caught a Charizard with WA/FB (2000CP) and two days ago a Vensaur VW/SB (1500CP). Furthermore I caught a Bulbasaur which envolved into a Vensaur with RL/PB with lvl 98% (1460CP).

In exchange all my five 10km eggs turned out badly. :-(

Don't talk to me about Charizards. I just evolved my fourth, all with terrible move sets. I have a VW/PB venusaur, and it is quite useful against vapereons, but I was hoping for a VW/SB and got another of the same. So far, the special event has given me more chances, but no success.
