Pikachu vs. Legendaries

Anybody else have a somewhat close race between these catches? Only caught 262 Pikachu and caught total of 244 legendaries. Started 10 days after launch.

I counted the other day my catches of the trashiest (xp evolve) 8 pokemon: Pidgey, Weedle, Caterpie, Rattata, Sentret, Ledyba, Wurmple, Whismur and those were 24% of my total catches.

In that sense, a community day that isn't relevant is still better than how many Hoothoot I catch on a normal day.

Nope. Caught a total of 2 legendaries ever in raids. (Not including the boxes, they were Mewtwo and Latios) A Rayquaza and a 💯 Kyogre ran. I've caught over 200 Pikachu.

The legendary research tasks are included in my legendary count...example: I was 4/6 on Articuno on first release, 4/4 on tasks and 7/7 yesterday. That paired with my 6/7 catching Regice has me on an 18/19 legendary catching roll (caught a Mewtwo last week).

Nah, I'm a solo player, so I have more Pikachu. I haven't been a hardcore player during past pikachu events, so I still dont have the gold medal. I hope I can get it for this event so I dont have to catch another one again...if I don't, I'll probably be level 40 before I get the gold medal.

I've played everyday since mid July 2016, it took me til beginning April 2018 to get to 40, so a gradual hardcore player. 4100km walked.

262 Pikachu and 224 tiny rattata. I'll easily get the Pika this week, my rats have been tiny 11% of the time...I'll start to put a priority on those rather than some of the other trash at the grocery store parking lot.

I actually have 364 small rats. The Magikarp will take a while tho...

It is pretty close for me. My 339 Pikachu slightly edge out my 324 legendaries. Before the anniversary event started it would have been the other way around.
