Always appraise every pokemon you catch

I just caught a 100iv zigzagoon and was going to transfer it if i didnt appraise it because it was only 193cp. Not a question but just a tip for everyone

I mean, if you care about a hundred iv garbage pokemon...

I don't have any 100s, and probably caught a few. I couldn't care less if I've transferred a 100 pidgey or zigzagoon though. I only check pokemon I would actually care about (although I'll check all hatches because they're more likely).

Well, 100 iv mega pridgeot when its added would be pretty strong

If 100% had any trading value I'd be more inclined to do that

Honestly, I don't want to know the iv of the common garbage. It will just clog my limited bag space. I only appraise uncommon or meta relevant Pokemon.

I transfer them anyway. Not worth my stardust. A level 30 50% IV mon is better than a level 10 100% IV.

I've been deliberately keeping level 30+ but below 50% IV mons for trading with friends, though.

People think this is a pvp game. I can't believe these salty comments.
Congratulations for your catch. This is a collection game and you got a good one.

What is nice is you can actually see several ways to play this game. As you say, you can play it for collection and that's fine if that's what you enjoy! I like collecting for dex entries but I don't care about 100% or 0% or gender dex entries, shinies are cool but not paramount. What I like is fighting in this game, building the most efficient teams to counter a given opponent. Different way to play, but that's how I enjoy it :)

Congrats on your hundo! I've checked everything since last summer and I have quite the number of perfect mons to thank for it. Even if it's garbage, finding a perfect always makes me feel good.

Calcy's new check the level in catch mode feature is really useful for this!
